Waiting

Sigh…we’re just waiting over here.  We were supposed to get the FISH test results (the trisomys) back on Tuesday.  After leaving a couple of messages on Tuesday and hearing nothing back, I called Wednesday morning and was able to talk with our Genetic Counselor.  Here’s what he said when I asked him for the results, “Um…those tests never got ordered.”  Wait.  Excuse me.  What?!  He said there must have been a miscommunication between himself and the nurses and the test never got ordered, so we’ll have to wait until next week when we get all of the results at once.  Sigh…this waiting to find out what the rest of our lives are going to look like is all too much for me…

On a happy note.  It was Asher’s best bud’s birthday yesterday, and we all went to this really fun playland area to celebrate him ringing in the big 3!  I love the picture of Asher and Carter, they’re such gangstas, ha!

Miscommunication? Oops? I’m fuming all over again reading that! I am so so sorry. I can’t imagine how excrutiating all this waiting is 🙁

And our boys. Those sweet little boys. I just love them together. They are pure fun. I’m really thankful they are such little pals. Whatever gang they’re part of, I want to join too!

I’m here if you need to talk…pass the time…talk about our kids’ poop (ha ha)…or all of the above 🙂 Love you. Emily

Rachel I would be happy to kick some butt for you at that office. Seriously! You just say the word and I will talk just as tough as Asher looks. I’m sorry that happened. Another one of God’s plans that we don’t understand. His timing is perfect even when dealing with his imperfect people.

I’m so sorry. Waiting is especially brutal, I’ve never enjoyed that part at all. I’m praying for you guys. God’s grace IS sufficient, even when it doesn’t feel like it is. And thank you, God, for the joy that Asher brings!
