First Encounter with Santa
Yikes! Totally didn’t expect this! I guess “Santa” is more fun just to talk about, then to actually sit on his lap. I can understand why he hated this whole situation, but he was sure excited about the idea of going to see Santa, and looking at him from afar, ha!
A couple of memories from our Santa visit that I wanted to record…we deliberately rushed out of the house to make it over to the mall so that we could avoid a big line. Well, just so happens Black River School decided to do the same thing! So, here’s us, waiting in line behind about 50 5th graders with all their hand-written letters to Santa. I thought about leaving, but that just sounded like double the amount of work to get out of the house again!
The second, most memorable of memories was that Asher decided to fill his diaper with what smelled like the worse raw sewage you have ever smelled in your life five minutes before he sat on Santa’s lap, LOL! People were giving me the glares like, “are you going to take care of that or what?!” My answer, “Are you kidding me! I’m so pot committed at this point, we’re not leaving this line!” I was dying inside, but I just kept smiling a lot hoping people would look to another kid to blame, ha!
So, after an hour of the mall being relatively quiet, Asher was introduced to Santa. I guess he’s not a fan…at least for this year!

LOL!! What great memories! 🙂 You got to experience being “that” Mom…ha! 🙂 It’s so funny how you described him looking forward to meeting Santa…until you actually got up there. Addysen was the same way…kept looking at him in the line and pointing at him…I thought maybe there was hope. But nope…Addysen thought as much of him as Asher did! 🙂
Poor guy. Maybe next year he will like Santa a little better. I am glad you recorded your Santa memories though. Pretty funny.
haha, these pics are absolutely priceless! I’m impressed with this Santa though, he actually looks like a real Santa. No fake beard for that guy! I wonder if Asher will get as excited about going to visit Santa next year. 🙂

That is so hilarious (after the fact, I realize). Andrew is not a fan of Santa either so we just skip the photo 🙂 That was truly well written…I could just picture the glares of others about the diaper!!
Lance just showed me a print of this pic….it honestly made me sad for the little buddy.
