We got to go to Dent Days when we were at Super Grandpa’s! Dent is the little town just a mile away from the lake. Population – 192. We were excited to bring Asher to his first parade, and to see how the little town would pull off this major event. Well they did not disappoint. Jeremy and I were giggling the whole time at watching Asher freak about collecting his candy, and watching the people in the parade who had been planning for this all year – case in point, check out the Dent Dames :). It was such a fun memory. Asher loved dancing in the street, dashing for the candy that was thrown out to him (some people hand delivered it to Asher!), the loud fire trucks, and spending time with family. It was a great family memory!
Oh what fun! I love the last picture of him enjoying his candy–no cares as to what is going on around him.
I just can’t wait to give him another big squeeze!
How fun…what a great idea to bring him to that! I absolutely love that picture of Asher in his stroller looking up at Super Grandpa in his wheel chair…that picture just warms my heart.
Those Dent Dames are so cute. Those small town parades are really fun.
Super Grandpa, a parade, candy AND firetrucks. . . could life be any better for Ash-man?! It must have been hilarious watching him collect candy!
I love a parade! That looks like so much fun! You know, my mom is a red-hatter and would have fit right in with the Dent Dames! I think you should get Asher one of those little cars.
