We had a great day together as a family! We weren’t able to attend church services, so we had our own little time of celebrating Jesus’ Resurrection by listening to worship music and reading Bible stories. One of our favorite Easter songs is, “Arise, My Love.” We couldn’t find a version we were excited about online, but could have been looking in the wrong place. Does anyone know of an artist who sings a great version of this song?
Of course we had to introduce Asher to an Easter Egg Hunt! We took a trip to Target to get him an Easter basket, plastic eggs, and prizes for his eggs. We left there with $2.00 plastic eggs, and a plan to use his sand bucket and coins for his prizes. I couldn’t convince Jeremy to spend anymore money than that. He thought it was a waste, but I still think he was being an FK (fun-killer), ha! I guess Asher didn’t really know the difference, he liked his sand bucket and coins for his piggy bank.
Happy Easter! It sounds like you guys had a great Easter! Asher sure knew what to do on an Easter egg hunt! Good times!
It is always fun looking for eggs. I am glad that you had a good day together as a family.
So sweet-glad Asher got to have an egg hunt!
That’s my favorite Easter song too:)
image 5…love it.
Happy Easter sweet Asher.
Jesus loves you and made you very special!
So cute! I love that second pic…it’s like he’s SO excited that he found that egg!
Looks like Asher enjoyed the egg hunt!Did you color any eggs? It looks like you had a beauitful day!Hugs&Kisses
One of my friends has an “empty tomb hunt”. She puts one “angel” (jellybean) in each “tomb” (egg). Love the pictures. Their first egg hunt is always fun, no matter what is in the egg. (M and Z got raisins and fruit snacks!)
Well we are late for this year, but look for Newsong’s version of Arise My Love… you might like that one. Very similar to the version sung in years past at EVBC.
