Daddy and the Redemption Kids staff at our church put together an amazing three nights of family fun, worship, and adventure with Dakota J (Daddy!) and his hunt for the ultimate treasure. Auntie Lori watched Beck for all three nights, and Asher and I got to have some dates. Daddy has been preparing for SBC for 6 months, which means we talked a lot about the event, and I can’t even count the number of times Asher asked leading up to camp, “is it time for Akota J yet?” Always leaving the “D” out. Adorable.
Asher was giddy all three nights watching his Daddy on stage, and he was seriously enthralled in the hunt Akota J was in for the ultimate treasure.
“Asher, what do you think is the ultimate treasure that Dakota J is hunting for?”
“I think coins maybe.”
“Really? That’s interesting. Do you think coins give us ultimate peace, happiness, power and salvation?”
“No way, Jesus does!”
I need to post some pictures, but had to put up this video of Asher singing along to one of the worship songs. I get teary when I see his excitement!
Love it.
Asher looks like he had a great time! So blessed that Asher knows the ultimate treasure. Love you guys!
