Whippy Cake
So much happened while Paxon was with us that we find ourselves still processing everything. One of my most favorite memories that I wanted to be sure to record was being introduced to Whippy Cake. My incredible friend, Emily, wrote such a nice letter and nominated me for Whippy Cake’s “Glam for a Day” Makeover. I felt completely unworthy of all the love and gifts the Whippy Cake family showered me with that day, but it was such a blessing. It was so wonderful to feel pretty for a day, to forever have family photos with Paxon in them, and to have met new friends. Becki, Wendy, and Kathy, I will never forget how you wrapped me with love that day. Thank you so much for the memories.
On days like today when I’m missing my boy, it’s so wonderful to be able to look back at these pictures and see him safe and snuggled. Love you, Paxon Ray.

Rachel, you really are one amazing woman. I’ve always believed that when you do service, it always comes back 10 fold? Well, spending that day in your presence was my 10 fold. Your sweet, gracious, humble spirit touched me. Your strength and faith inspired me. We wonder why these things happen to such great people and then we step back and see the impact they have on so many. Bless you for enduring your trials, and turning them into a gift of love and service. I adore these pictures of you and your darling family. It brings a smile to me every time, because they beam with the love that you have with in you.

I’m at a loss for words remembering that day and our privates talks and the spiritual strength and power I witnessed in you. You’ll always be one of my greatest inspirations and I’ll forever be changed for knowing you. My gratitude towards you never lessens no matter how much time passes between our visits. Sending happy thoughts and hugs n’ kisses your way in hopes it lightens your sadness.

Rachel, I first heard your story from whippy cakes blog. I was touched and have been keeping up with your blog since. I so feel for you and your husband with everything you have gone through. As a fellow believer, I know you have and will continue to receive great comfort from your faith. I want to share with you a book that I recently read called, “Heaven is for Real” by Todd Burpo. It is a true story of a glimpse into heaven from a 4 year old who had an out of body experience, to heaven, during a surgery. I have had 3 miscarriages and was so encouraged to know they are being taken care of in heaven and one day I will meet them. I cry as I right this. This book was awesome. I couldn’t put it down. You can search it on amazon to get more details. I got mine at Costco, if they have one in your area.
